Yesterday, my rabu-rabu and I passed by Quiapo on the way home from school.
Now this place, Quiapo, is notorious for piracy. So I was just observing the people around and I saw this store selling pirated DVD's.
I just wanted to joke around when I entered the store. I really didn't want to buy anything.
H!P hasn't really infiltrated popular media here unlike Johnny's (through Gokusen and Hana Yori Dango)... so I thought that I'd ask for something H!P (since I didn't think they had anything H!P)... so I asked for Yo-yo Girl Cop (I used the international release title to emphasize the point to myself that there's nothing H!P there)
Lo and behold, the lady from the store said they had that. I was flabbergasted. like, "WHAT!?!"
I checked it out... It really was the Sukeban movie starring Matsuura Aya (who celebrated her birthday yesterday... Happy Birthday, Aya) and my object of worship Ishikawa Rika.
... They don't have it in legal stores and it's really expensive to have one shipped here... so I contemplated whether I should buy it or not...

you bought it didn't you? XD Heck, I would've! lol.
When I'm going to the Philippines, I'm especially going to try and look for H!P items.
DON'T SUPPORT PIRACYYYYY!!
heh.
I had the DVD tested...
I hoped that there was a defect or anything (so that wouldn't feel guilty if i don't buy it)
the DVD costs 40 pesos (a little less than US$1)
... the subtitles got all funky... so i didn't buy it...
i was so relieved that there was a defect... otherwise, i would feel obliged to buy the thing...
man... I won't try to pull off another joke like that... ever...
Hey~ all my h!p stuffs are bootleg! and illegal!
i download mine from youtube... ^.^
Wow, only 40 pesos?? (O.O)...well, wow it was defected? Maybe when I go tot the Philippines soon, and I find H!P stuff...I'll get it check too? XD Well, I guess, DVDs and stuff like that.
... it's really hard to look for H!P stuff here... i'mma try to mention H!P to the sellers a lot so that they would think it's in demand... hopefully the news spreads...
korean dramas are surely in stock though... so if your into those this is the place to be!
Hmm,, so H!P items are rare in the place I call my birthplace. XD Looks like I'll go on a scavenger hunt then!

Korean dramas! I'm into those too! Of course. Heck, any type of asian drama is all good. XDD
But I'll onlyu be staying in Manila for a couple days, and then moving onto IloIlo, Boracay, Laguna, this other place where my mom was born, and some other places. Let's hope I find SOMETHING. lol.
